Die Diskussion um den Deströyer 666-Auftritt auf dem RockHard-Festival in deren Forum damals war mit das Lächerlichste, was ich je im Internet gelesen habe. Deren Drummer Mersus hat ja unsere Platte produziert und mir mal die Geschichte aus seiner Sicht geschildert. Wahnsinn.

Mit GotH kenne ich mich nicht aus und bin mit dem Genre an sich nicht wirklich vertraut sowie außerdem kein Freund von politischer Oberkorrektheit, aber die von dir gepostete Band erweckt in der Tat den Eindruck - und da geb ich Loomis und Sigi uneingeschränkt Recht - hier definitiv nicht hinzugehören. Wieso da "kaum ein Unterschied" zu Deströyer sein soll, müsstest du mir mal erklären.

Es sei denn, wir ersparen uns alle die 183. Diskussion um politisch fragwürdige Bands und du nimmst sie einfach raus und gut ist.

Ergänzung: Der von Loomis gepostete Text, während ich diesen Beitrag schrieb, sagt natürlich auch sehr viel. Sorry, aber I don't get it.

Das war auf dem ersten Demo, die späteren Texte lesen sich doch ein bisschen anders. Das Demo von Watain hiess auch noch "Go Fuck Your Jewish God", und die werden inzwischen sogar hier abgefeiert.

Demo hin oder her - Der Song selbst ist frei zugänglich auf MySpace zu hören (was ich mir konsequent verkniffen habe) und auch so manche Abbildungen/verlinkte interviews usw. auf ihrer regulären Homepage zeugen ebenfalls davon, dass wir es wohl nicht mit einer "das war früher"-Phase, sondern mit einer Weltanschauung zu tun haben, die die Jungs offensichtlich heute noch gerne pflegen. Mag ich nicht - Thema in den Müll gekickt. Sigi Ende

Ich frage ich manchmal, wie man überhaupt dazu kommt so etwas hören zu wollen. Okay, in Internet Zeiten, wo man alles mögliche ohne weitere Infos, wie Texte, Bandphotos und Texten anhören kann, mag ich gerade noch verstehen, wie man zufällig an solche Musik gerät. Da muss ich jetzt mal ganz ehrlich zugeben, dass ich mich mit dieser Materie nie ausgiebig beschäftigt habe, ganz einfach aus Zeitmangel. Es gibt so viel Musik, ohne derart fragwürdige Aussagen, dass mir meine Zeit für so einen Unfug einfach immer zu schade war. Vielleicht ein Fehler, denn so kenne ich meinen Feind jetzt nicht ...

In Zeiten der digitalen Bemusterung will ich natürlich nicht ausschließen, dass ich irgendeine BM/DM Band benote, die fragwürdig ist. Sollte mich aber im Nachhinein jemand darauf hinweisen, was ich da "übersehen" habe, würde ich hier keine Diskussion über Offensichtliches starten. Back to Wichtiges.
